Sandy Hook Tragedy Used For Gun Control?

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Days after a mentally unstable man stole an AR-15 rifle and two pistols from his mother and went on a shooting spree that resulted in the deaths of at least 20 children and 6 adults, politicians are calling for gun control. Despite the fact that the man acquired the guns illegally and violated the so called gun free zone to kill innocent people, Democrats are now coming for more gun control.

Currently, the law makes it illegal for anyone (including principals, teachers and parents) to bring firearms onto school property. Unfortunately, the mass shooter decided to ignore that law and therefore enjoyed a target rich environment with defenseless victims.

Instead of Congress acknowledging the failure of the so called no gun zone laws, they have doubled on a new call for even more gun control. Apparently, Obama and the Democrats are convinced that new laws will deter criminal behavior. But I don't think an assault rifle ban is about making people safer. it's about control. The mainstream media and the politicians are looking to restrict liberty. They are not interested in empowering anyone but themselves. And now we're seeing people's true colors.

Fake conservative Joe Scarborough (yeah, one of Mitt Romney's cheerleaders) is now calling for gun control.

"our Bill of Rights does not guarantee gun manufacturers the absolute right to sell military-styled high-caliber semi-automatic combat assault rifles with high capacity magazines to whoever the hell they want."

 Let's review the U.S. constitution.

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

The second amendment is not about hunting or sports. It's about making the government recognize the people's natural right to defend themselves from tyranny (i.e. Nazi Germany and Soviet Union.)

Online retailer Cheaper Than Dirt! has suspended sales of firearms.

"Cheaper Than Dirt! has temporarily suspended online sales of firearms. As a long time supporter of the Second Amendment, Cheaper Than Dirt! will continue to promote the safe and responsible use of firearms by law abiding customers. During this temporary suspension, we will review our policies and promotions."

They're not the only ones. Look at Walmart and Dick's Sporting Goods pulling certain types of guns off of the shelves in some stores.

Here's a message from Dick's Sporting Goods.

“We are extremely saddened by the unspeakable tragedy that occurred last week in Newtown, CT, and our hearts go out to the victims and their families, and to the entire community.”
“Out of respect for the victims and their families, during this time of national mourning we have removed all guns from sale and from display in our store nearest to Newtown and suspended the sale of modern sporting rifles in all of our stores chainwide.”

So their response is to make it more difficult for law abiding citizens to defend themselves, because a psycho shot a lot of unarmed people who couldn't defend themselves. Think it through, Dick!

Gun owners now have an opportunity to see who is really a supporter of the second amendment and who's just lying. A lof of so called pro gun Democrats are revealing their true colors and I think we'll see if the Republican Party really is pro-second amendment. 2012 GOP Presidential nominee Mitt Romney actually signed an assault rifle ban in Massachusetts. So will the House Republicans cave or stand their ground? Will the American people publish law abiding gun owners? I remain pessimistic.

In closing, the same politicians and media types who sold us out with the banker bailout (TARP), are the same ones who supported the Patriot Act, the Military Commissions Act, National Defense Authorization Act and now possibly a new assault rifle ban. So I'll leave you with my favorite quote. And I don't care if it's a perfect quote from Benjamin Franklin or not. True words have never been spoken.

"Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Another Gun Free Zone FAILURE!

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Sadly, we can add one more nation to the long list of failures for the so called gun free zones. These are areas that government officials have declared gun free areas. In other words, no law abiding citizen is allowed to bring a firearm into these areas. Predicatively, these are also the areas that mass shooters choose to kill people. Recently, a man used two handguns and a 223 rifle to shot and murder 20 children and 6 adults at an elementary school in Connecticut.

So do gun free zones actually work?

Let's see...

Columbine gun-free zone!
Virginia Tech gun free zone!
Amish school gun free zone!
Sikh temple shooting!
Aurora Theater gun free zone!
Oregon Mall gun free zone!
Connecticut school gun free zone!

We don't need more gun control. There's not need in trying to restrict the gun rights of good people, because the bad ones will never obey the law. We need to empower more good people to stand up to the bad ones by removing gun free zones.

Are Preppers Selfish?

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

I came across a very fascinating rebuttal by SHTF plan to an article written by an emergency manager,  Valerie Lucus-McEwen. She wrote an article entitled "Doomsday Preppers are Socially Selfish" that was not only critical of the silly reality TV series "Doomsday Prepper", but used it as a means to attack all preppers.

"You might wonder why someone like me, who has been in the business of encouraging disaster preparedness for a very long time, is so critical of people who are doing just that. It’s because they are being socially selfish – preparing themselves and the hell with everyone else.  Instead of spending time and energy making changes that would benefit the larger community, in their very narrow focus of loyalty they are more concerned about themselves," Lucus-McEwen explained.

What is the first rule when an airplane is going down and the oxygen mask drop down?

Grab your oxygen mask first and then help the people next to you.

Why?

Because if you pass out, you won't be able to help your kids. I think that people need to help themselves before they can help others. With that said, I most definitely don't approve of the show "Doomsday Preppers." For the most part, it showcases the most extreme and ridiculous personalities in the emergency preparation community.

Here's another interesting part.

"Emergency Managers can’t afford that kind of attitude.  It is diametrically opposed to everything we do. Our job is to prepare individuals and communities and jurisdictions and regions and – ultimately – the globe for disasters, knowing we won’t always succeed."

Let's get real. The more people prepare, the less they will need people like her. Emergency managers can help people during a crisis, but are always very limited. And usually end up spending most of their time helping idiots who never kept every food and water in their homes. The only real solution is for more people to become personally responsible for their own water, food, safety and shelter after a crisis. Simply put, we can't help others until we help ourselves. Is storing food and water for emergencies selfish?

Of course not.

Some preppers are selfish, but the choice to prepare is not what makes them selfish. We should not associate preparing for a rainy day to selfishness. It's called self-preservation and it's why humans have made it this far.

NOT IN THE LABOR FORCE (still increasing)

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

As many of you know, the Bureau of Labor Statistics' jobless claims soared in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Last week, it reportedly dropped 21,000 to 393,000 new initial claims for unemployment. The media storyline is that sense the aftermath of the storm is easing, the jobless claims are dropping. The problem is that much of the increase in joblessness isn't even coming from New York and New Jersey. What's interesting is that many of the states that reported decreases weren't even in the affect area.

Read more about the jobless claims

U.S. Pending home sales 5.2% soared in October. If this is accurate, this maybe a sign that the housing market has found its bottom. What grabbed my attention was the stark contrast between regions.

Pending home sales in the Midwest and South rose 15.6 percent and 5.5 percent, respectively, while the West and the Northeast dropped by 1.1 percent and 0.1 percent, respectively. As a guy living in the Midwest, I can tell you that there are so many people leaving their homes for rentals (and other states) that I suspect a disproportional amount of these sales are going to rentals.

Read more about Housing Sales

Although, the housing sales are encouraging, I'm still concerned about wages, the quality of employment an the number of Americans still on food stamps. As of August 2012, we had a record 47.1 million Americans collecting food stamps. Some people have argued that much the increase is explained by the Obama's administration easing of the requirements. But the fact of the matter is that historically, we only see large increases in food stamp participation during recessions and hard economic times. The number soar in late 2008 before Obama even entered the Oval Office.

Between August 2011 and August 2012, there was a 1.6 million increase in the amount of Americans receiving food stamps. It's been climbing for 4 straight years.

The government has been able to artificially lower the unemployment rate by excluding the millions of Americans who have given up looking for work because there is no real work. The funny that is that the government's NOT IN THE LABOR FORCE continues to raise. Because people can't find work.

So all of the spin in the world won't change what is now obvious to anyone who is looking. This country is in an economic depression.

What Black Friday Says About America

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Isn't it sad that after Americans stuff themselves with Thanksgiving dinner, they humiliate themselves and one another by fighting over cheap junk at retail stores. Traditionally, this commercial event would happen the day after Thanksgiving. But in recently retailers have become more desperate for sales so they are opening up earlier. Last year, Walmart opened at 10pm. This year impulse than an actually decision. Like every year, the Black Friday crowds were violent and shameful all across the nation. Grown men and women pushing and shoveling each other to get the best deal on electronics and toys.

This year, a shopper was robbed outside of Best Buy in Myrtle Beach. Two people were shot outside of a Walmart in Florida.

Two People Shot in Fight Over Wal Mart Parking Space

The battle of the herd was recorded when growups and teens pushed and shoved for some smart phones.

There was a massive mob fight among teenagers at Woodland Mall. The Kentwood Police took two teens into custody. Another shopper maced security guards

Disturbance leads to scare at Westroads Mall

One of the most bizarre sights was watching teenage girls scream and push each other outside a Victoria's Secret store on Black Friday. Why does 16 year old need lingerie? Boys don't care about that crap. Attention: Ladies of all ages. Guys don't care. Either your hot or your not. Victoria Secret isn't going to make a difference.

What's happening in America is a sick and corrupt education of the youth. Not only are supposedly grown up men and women making fools of themselves on Black Friday, but they are teaching their children to do the same. I don't have a problem with people shopping on Black Friday, but when you start hurting other human beings to get this crap, you lose my respect.

What Happened to the Budget Surplus of the 90S?

We had budget surpluses in the 90s, what happened?

The reason why we had a tax surplus is because the largest demographic (the baby boomers) were in their 50s, at their most productive and spending more money (on housing and cars) than they ever would. That stimulated the consumer economy and fueled growth. We also had the raise of new technologies (the PC and Internet industry) that drove growth. The massive spending on the part of baby boomers lead to a great influx in tax revenue. Doing this time, the U.S. government didn't have a significant population drawing from the social programs.

When the baby boomers entered their 60s, they began to cut back in spending. This meant that baby boomers stop buying bigger houses. And while doing so, more of them started to draw from the social programs. You couple that will the raise of globalization and the de-industrialization of America and you have a massive economic downturn.

Hurricane Sandy & Riots After the Election?

 By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Hurricane Sandy a Lesson For NON-Preppers

People diving through dumpsters looking for food, isolated neighborhoods in Queens being attacked by looters dressed as utility workers, long lines of cars outside of gas stations, officials complaining about the federal response in Staten Island and chaos sweeping across the New York/ New Jersey area. This isn't the end of the world, but the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Millions of people are trying to put their lives back together, after a rare storm created havoc in the largest city in America.

Hurricane Sandy death toll climbs above 110, N.Y. hardest hit

After the power went out, police protection was so bare that some people in Queens started arming themselves with bats and guns and bow and arrows. There was endless tv reports on desperate city dwellers calling out for help. Officials blaming FEMA and the Red Cross. Ladies and Gentlemen, this is why I prep. I don't prep for the end of the World, I prep for life. Unexpected things happen in life that can change your world. I prepare for emergencies because I realize that emergencies happen. There is no excuse for grown men and women to not prepare for simple emergencies. And as you watch these desperate people on TV, you need to ask yourself, am I going to be one of these people?

The Election and Riots

I was video recording a video on Hurricane Sandy, when I was interrupted by a guy who saw one of my videos on youtube. He mentioned the election and we started thinking about Obama. He was a supporter and I rejected both Obama and Romney. The video below is the raw, unedited footage of what happened. Enjoy! Should Blacks Support Obama in 2012?

In short, I don't see the need to support either Obama or Romney. They're both corporatist warmongers who are nothing more than show pieces designed to divide the people.  Liberal comedian Bill Maher made one of the most irresponsible comments of this election cycle on his HBO show Real Time.

"If you're thinking about voting for Mitt Romney, I would like to make this one plea: black people know who you are and they will come after you"

Of course, he was kidding, but it wasn't funny. Some Obama supporters are making threats about rioting if Obama should lose. I should point out that most black people are not assholes who would engage in this behavior. With that said, whatever these angry fools do, they should stay out of white rural areas, because unlike the white Chicagoans attacked by black teenager mobs, these white people have guns. A massive crowd of blacks entering their area to destroy property would end in disaster. Frankly, I think enough of Obama's angry black supporters know this. So I doubt we're going to see riots after election night. Enough said.

Anti-Gun Laws Could Get People Killed During COLLAPSE

 By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

There's foolishness and then there's Illinois. Remember Chris Rock's comedy piece about fighting crime by making people pay an insane amount for bullets? If not, Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinklemay seems to have taken the idea and run with it. Preckwinkle is proposing a new set of taxes on firearms and bullets. The proposal calls for a nickel per round tax and an additional $25 tax for each firearm. Preckwinkleis convinced that this will lower crime and raise more tax revenue. After all, we all know criminals don't steal ammo. What's fascinating about this idea is that we know that it will not work. Chicago has some of the most extreme anti-laws in the country. Law abidding citizens are not allowed to carry firearms, yet the city has had 409 homicides this year alone. Granted, it's not as bad as the early 90s, but most of the crime is coming from gangs, not the average Joe at a shooting range.

Official proposes bullet tax to curb Chicago crime

But this anti-gun foolishness has sparked a rather gloomy thought in my mind about how these people will fair if law and order breaks down. What would happen to these anti-gun proponents in a full-scale collapse scenario? I'm not survivialist, but I think it's safe to say that by not preparing for a situation that requires self defense is setting oneself up for failure. Let me be frank, criminals don't care if you're anti-gun. If society breaks apart, people will become desperate and dangerous. A Glock 17 or a Sig Sauer maybe the only thing that prevents a single mother from getting raped or a married man from being stabbed to death by home invaders. I don't care if you like guns. I don't cars or cellphones, but I need a cellphone and car for my job. When it comes to guns, people will have to do what it takes to survive.

These anti-gun laws are setting people up for failure. It's conditioning people to not protect themselves and that is simply irresponsible. Why make it harder for law abiding citizens to protect themselves? I strongly recommend everyone buy a gun legally, learn how to use it, store it safely and legally carry it everywhere you can. If you're a single woman living by yourself, you maybe targeted by a predator. If you're a cute college girl living on a GUN FREE ZONE campus, remember you'll be a very attractive target for a predator.  After all, you're not supposed to have a gun. If you're living in a upper middle class neighborhood 20 miles outside of a city, the desperate city-dwellers people may target you before they focus on their broke ass neighbors.

People tell me all of the time to get out of the city, but what they don't realize is that most of the desperate people in the city will be looking for suburbanites with resources.

After all, many people will assume that a family with three late model cars will have food. The funny thing is that if society collapsed tomorrow and the lights went out, there would be millions of upper middle class citizens with 50 inch TVs, 60,000 dollar cars, 300,000 dollar houses and less than a week of non-perishable food.

No matter how you feel about guns, if you're serious about helping your family survive, you can't ignore the need for a gun. Don't like the TV shows like "The Walking Dead" convince you that if there's a social breakdown, you will be able to pick up a firearm and shot with the marksmanship of a Navy Seal. If you get a gun, make you know how to use it. You don't want your first shots to happen during a crisis. And forcing law abiding citizens to take on an additional tax burden may put good people in a bad situation.

Five Things Single Mothers Can DO Before SHTF

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

As most of us know, there is no shortage of gun talk in the prepper community. After all, one of the best important emergency preparations is self defense. But when if you are not apart of a specialized prepper group with years of food supple and a mountain of guns. When if you're just a regular Joe or Jane? When if you're a single woman or a single mother living by herself? How should a single mother approach prepping?

Obviously, I am not a single mother so my perspective is limited. However, I was raised by a single mother so I think I can make some observations. Because most single moms are working on a more limited budget, they will forced to be extremely economical. This means that they must identify the best deals on large quantity of food for their children, but they must also find a way to secure their homes if there are riots. I am not an expect in home defense or guns, but I have learned a thing or two after prepping for 3 years. Here are 5 things I think every single mom should do right now.

1. Secure Your Doors (and Windows)
Start by buying good locks for your doors, putting locks on the windows and removing hiding spots around your house such as enormous bushes. Buy a 2 x 4 wood piece that is 4 to 5 five long, two high quality metal brackets and screws. Put the brackets on each side of the door and place the wood in the brackets to make the door harder to kick in. The idea to give yourself more time to respond to a home invasion during SHTF (shit hits the fan.) You can put these items aside and use them if things get too bad. View my video below for more details.

2. Acquire a Firearm (Legally) and Carry It
Research the local laws and see if you can legally own a semi-auto handgun. Most states offer a CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) permit so you can carry it at all times (except in gun free zones.) The process usually involves taking a 4 hour NRA gun course (100 to 150 dollars) + 100 rounds of ammo), bringing the certificate to the county (or state) office, paying 100 to 120 buys for the paper work, getting your fingerprints recorded and receiving the permit 5 to 8 weeks later. Felons are obviously unqualified.

Using a firearm correctly can save your life. But don't just get a gun, learn how to use it and practice as much as you can. At least once a month. You may want to take additional classes. You may also consider getting a safe and teaching your children about the importance of gun safety.

3. Connect With Other Single Mothers
Look for other single mothers in your neighbor and start talking about the things that matter to you. Get coordinated with family members. It may not be a bad idea to live near your brother. That isn't always possible. It may help to have your brother do some yard work, just to show the neighbors that you are not alone. You may not know it but predators notice when a woman is "doing it all by herself." When the SHTF, he may decide to take advantage of the situation if he thinks that men won't be around. Think of it as a show of force.

4. Get A Dog
Not a cat, because although I love cats, if a rapist enters you house, a cat will not help you. A cat will not attack the man or even warn you. A lab can be a great family dog, loving to the kids, warn and help protect you. If you are allergic, you can find non-allergic breeds.

5. Find A Natural Healer
There may not be access to hospitals during a SHTF situation, so knowing a natural healer may help your children if they get sick.

Police Warn "Enter Detroit At Your Own Risk!"

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

“Enter At Your Own Risk” is what the Detroit Police union is telling visitors about the city of Detroit. The Detroit Police Officer Association (DPOA) held a political rally warning Michiganders that the city is becoming more dangerous. The union warned that the department is "grossly understaffed", while the homicide rate continues to soar. Detroit Police Officer Association (DPOA) Attorney Donato Ioriotold the press that the police force is shrinking as more officers exit the city.

Enter At Your Own Risk: Police Union Says ‘War-Like’ Detroit Is Unsafe For Visitors

Frankly, I don't blame them. Many cops simply can't afford to work in Detroit. They pay is dropping, but the cost of living is raising.

I live 60 miles north of Detroit in a city that shares more than a few similarities with Motown. Like Detroit, my home town (Flint, Michigan) is a decaying industrial city littered with abandoned buildings, burnt out homes and a struggling economy. Both Flint and Detroit have extremely high crime rates. They are consistently ranked as the most violent cities in the country every year. In 2011, Flint was ranked the most dangerous city in America, even beating Detroit. Flint had the second-highest murder rate and the highest rates of aggravated assault, burglary and arson in the country.

Most Dangerous Cities In America Based On Analysis Of FBI Statistics>

The state police added detectives to help Flint police officers, but the problem seems to be bigger that staffing. It's bigger than manpower. I travel to Detroit quite often to visit family members. I've brought family members to Belle Isle, Greektown, The Detroit Zoo (in Royal Oak), The Detroit Institute of Arts. I've even toured the neighbors where I grew up (in Detroit) and other locales. So unlike most commentators bashing Detroit, I've been inside the city.

I've seen the good that the city has to offer. But when it comes to crime, I think Detroit is experiencing a social and moral breakdown. The government is corrupt to the core, the tax base can't support a decent education system, too many drug addicted zombies are willing to kill for almost nothing, too many young people have embraced a thug culture of degeneracy, criminals have become emboldened the citizens' fear and too many incompetent people are having too many children and not installing good values in the youth.

I have family in the Detroit suburbs and in the city who are afraid to enter many parts of the city. And some family members' fear of being out at night resembles Robert Neville fright in the 1971 classic film "The Omega Man."

So how can I respond to this threat? Should I avoid the city at all cost. I don't blame you if you decide to never visit. But I will walk a different path. I have family in Detroit and I already live in a dangerous city. My plan is to continue enjoying the jazz festivals that Detroit has to offer. I'm going to visit the Detroit Opera House and visit Mexicantown. I'll walk through Downtown Detroit the same way I walk through Flint: armed with my Glock 21 (45 ACP). I have a Concealed Pistol License and am I want to live as peacefully as I can. But I refuse to be a prisoner in my home.

I refuse to let the bad guys keep me away from Detroit. I will walk through Detroit with a great sense of awareness and learn to survive. Because as the United States declines economically and politically, millions will be too desperate, too drugged out or too spiritually drained to care about morality.

Whether you know it or not, Detroit is coming to a town near you.

The Breakdown of America

Two stories, one case.

A Township wants to fine a lunch lady (Lunch lady Angela Prattis) $600 bucks for feeding poor kids in a impoverished neighborhood. Prattis isn't making any money off of the program, she receives the food from  the Archdiocese of Philadelphia's Nutritional Development Services and she works closely with a state worker on a regular basis. She even fills out paper work every week. But the township is threatening to fine her because she is feeding poor children in a residential area. As if it would make sense to feed them in a commercial area where they would need money to get to the location.

This is pathetic and disgraceful. I bet they aren't chasing the white collar crooks in their township like they are harassing this woman. And I'm sure the township isn't fining crack dealers. When the park director told her to shut it down, she pleaded for help and asked the director what he could do to help her. He sent her a shut off notice.

Another story.

A federal appeals court ruling decided that it was more important for Bank of New York Mellon to get money than the consumers of the failed futures brokerage Sentinel Management Group. After Sentinel filed for bankruptcy, the customers learned that their money was used by the firm. Brokerage firms are supposed to keep their customers money separate from their own, but this ruling basically gives them a legal precedent to justify stealing their customers' money. This is outright robbery. When did it become acceptable for governments to protect corporate criminals? And when did it make sense to target lunch ladies who give out food to poor children.

Meanwhile, Moody's is preparing for the bankruptcy of more California cities. In July, unemployment levels increased in 44 states across America. As of April, we had 46,496,788 Americans collecting food stamps. Like I said before, this is more than an economic breakdown. This is a breakdown of America.

Both stories represent a breakdown in America. A breakdown in common decency. A breakdown in good sense. A breakdown in government and leadership. And a breakdown in morality. Where is America's morality?

Water is the Most Important Aspect of Prepping

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

The moist air is thick and heavy. The city's asphalt streets sizzle. Another scorching hot day in Flint, Michigan. But this heat wave is just the beginning of 2012's second temperature surge. The first heat wave knocked out power systems across the Eastern U.S. and left thousands of temperature records along the waist-side. This summer has been one for the record books. But it has also awaken my core survival instincts. For the first time in my journey as a prepper, I realized that my priorities were not correctly aligned. For too long, I have endulged my fascination with firearms to the point that I have failed to see what represents the greatest threat in a crisis situation: dehydration.

In all likelihood, I will die of dehydration before I am forced into a gun fire. And since I already have six guns, how can I justify buying another one when my water preparation is so weak.

Although, I have 6 five gallon containers filled with tap water, four cases of bottled water, a Katadyn Water filter and several packs of purifying tablets, an honest assessment of my supplies would force me to conclude that this would not be enough for a family of three to survive on for very long. This summer of unbearable  heat has forced me to re-examine how prepared I really am for a situation were I would have to produce my own clean water.

Let's keep in mind that many modern water systems rely on electric pumps to force water to millions of homes. If the electrical system is compromised, then millions of Americans may find themselves in a situation were they will have to boil, purify or filter their own water.

So I've decided to take action. A friend on youtube suggested I build a sand bio filter to remove germs from the water in the nearby creek. The concept is brillantly simple. You use fine sand in a 55 gallon barrel to filter viruses and harmfully substances from the water. But the top level of water serves as a natural bio system by using good bacteria to destroy bad bacteria.

It's a good idea, but it's not for me. Filling a 55 gallon barrel would be problematic for an urbanite such as myself, because it would be very difficult to move. So I've decided to invest in a Berkey Water system. It's light weight and it uses a carbon filter to remove virtually any harmful biological organism. I've also decided get some water containers that are not clear. The idea is to protect the water from the effects of sunlight. I'm also going to expand into trapping rainwater.

There's nothing wrong with owning a lot of guns, but if you don't have any water, your body will break down very fast. Water makes almost everything easier. You need water. I need water and more of it. In an emergency situation, I will need water to cook food, washing my body, stay hydrated, prevent infection and possibly keep someone's body temperature down. So I'll still buy another pistol this year, but not before I make sure I can filter hundreds of gallons of water.

Rand's Support of Romney Raising Questions About Ron Paul

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Senator Rand Paul, son of libertarian figure U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, recently endorsed Mitt Romney. The GOP nominee is known for supporting the banker bailouts, wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, his push for bigger government and his  about bombing Iran. Now many of Ron Paul supporters were horrified by the announcement, but this should come as a surprise.

I don't think Ron Paul ever intended to win the race. His campaign schedule was never as packed as Romney. In fact, Paul's schedule was light in 2008 when McCain need some political cover.

In 2012, Ron Paul provided cover for Romney in the debates and now he's dialing down the campaign, because the true objective has been fulfilled. The man never campaigned like a guy who wanted to win. I think Paul ran for president to support his son's political career. I think he used the Alex Jones base to promote his son and ultimately create a political place for his son. Ron Paul's job in 2012 was to help Romney and then his son would have a secure place in the party. Paul attracted the criticisms of the socially conservative and neo con candidates while Romney flew under the radar.

After Santorum endorsed Romney, Paul was asked when he was going to endorse Romney and his response was..."Well, I'm still thinking about that. Not soon because..."

Not soon? How can a supposed libertarian even think about endorsing Romney?

Here are some more questions, but these are aimed at the people who still support Ron Paul.

Do you think Paul was endorse Romney without his father's approval? Don't you think it's odd that Ron Paul has been so quiet on his son's endorsement of Romney? Don't you think it was strange how Paul provided cover for Romney doing the debates? Don't you think it's odd that Paul never campaign aggressively and challenged Romney more in key states? Don't you think it's odd that Paul never as a third party candidate? Don't you think it's odd that when Ron Paul was asked about endorsing Romney, his response was "Well, I'm still thinking about that. Not soon because."

Not soon? That's odd.

The Elites Are Dumping Obama?

Although, Obama has done everything that the globalist bankers wanted, his usefulness is wearing thin. The nation's supposedly first black president did his job. He supported the criminal bankers and continued the empire warmongering agenda while pacifying the poor blacks, Latinos, dwindling middle class, the struggling working class and restless youth.

In his term as President, Obama has expanded the war in Afghanistan, protected the Bush tortures, supported the banker bailouts, signed the renewal of the Patroit Act, signed NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act) which allows the military to indefinitely detain people without a charge or trial and used drones to kill supposed terror suspects (and innocent people) in Yemen and Pakistan. He has essentially conditioned the once "anti-war" left to accept and defend fascism and empire-building.

Now, I think the globalists are really to implode the world economy. Europe isn't being rescued by a Chinese knight. Even Obama's own government economist are allowing him to look back. The recent jobs numbers were embarrassing.

US economy added 69K jobs in May, fewest in a year

What's interesting is that although Romney is in a tie with Obama (or slightly lagging behind, there's a lot of money moving in his direction. Romney is starting to raise more money than Obama. A lot more. In May, Romney raised $77 million compared to Obama's $60 million.

Romney raised $77 million in May, outperforming Obama effort for first time

And it gets more interesting.

Obama had 250,000 more donors than Romney and the GOP candidate relived a lot more money from his pool of supporters. Both candidates support a neo-con philosophy and a corporalist ideology. Although, their words vary, their actions on the most important issues are the same. I think the elite maybe ditching the faux-liberal uniter with a faux conservative hell-bent on starting World War 3 by bombing Iran.

Unemployment Rising? Really?

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

The Labor Department declared that unemployment rose in May 2012 and I couldn't care less. They've been under-counting unemployment by making jobless people out of the labor force for over two years. But as the media reports the official unemployment number rising to 8.2%, manufacturing in the United Kingdom is falling. Even U.S. manufacturing is slowing down.

Manufacturing sector growth wanes in May: ISM

The Head of World Bank (Robert Zoellick) is carrying a more alarming tone.

"‘Events in Greece could trigger financial fright in Spain, Italy and across the eurozone. The summer of 2012 offers an eerie echo of 2008. If Greece leaves the eurozone, the contagion is impossible to predict, just as Lehman had unexpected consequences."

Let me be more direct! Get your house in order! No one knows just how bad this is going to get!

Another "Doomsday Prepper" in Trouble!

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Another "Doomsday Prepper" is in legal trouble. This time, a prepper (someone who stores food, water, medical supplies and guns for an emergency situation) by the name of Alfred C. Dutton was arrested for illegally possessing explosives. He was a producer of fireworks. And at some point, this guy thought it would be a good idea to discuss his storing of illegal explosive material on his property with his ex-wife’s boyfriend (Joe Scott). Dutton appeared on the National Geography reality series called "Doomsday Preppers." In my opinion, the show was made to make preppers like like nutjobs.

Scott was the only witness to testify against Dutton, but that was more than enough to get the 65-year-old Army and Marine veteran sentenced to 21 months in prison. And when he gets out, he will be a felon and unable to legally own firearms. Why in the hell would you appear on a national TV show and store illegal explosives on your property? Dutton was convinced of possessing incendiary bombs found in rented storage unit last August.

Here are the specifics from the Justice Department.

Joe Scott came to the Greenwood county Sheriff’s Office to report that Alfred Dutton Jr. possibly had explosives. Scott said that on or about August 9th of 2011 he had gone to Dutton’s apartment to pick up a minor child per court visitation. While standing and talking with Dutton he produced a small cylindrical device about the size, Scott thought, of a triple A battery. Dutton asked if he knew what it was and when Joe said he didn’t Dutton told him it was a fuse for a hand grenade.
During their talk Dutton had said he ordered fuses from the internet and when they arrived  and found they were what he wanted he was then going to order Grenade hulls and claymore mine hulls because the fuse worked in either one. When Scott went to pick up the child on August 16th Dutton told him that he could not find the black powder he needed that [sic] to complete the devices and had to order it from Cabela’s website on the internet. Scott said when Dutton told him that he ordered the black powder he became concerned for safety reasons of the minor child and public safety of the residents around him in the apartment complex.
Scott gave me a package of 20foot safety fuse and told me that Dutton had given it to him just after July 4th of 2010 to “blow stuff up” if he ever needed to, Scott has become concerned because Dutton told him when the government starts to round up citizens he will be one of the first because of his military background. While Scott was in the office I had him fill out a statement form. While still at the office I asked Scott if he would recognize the grenade fuse if he saw it. Scott said that he could, we searched the internet files and was unable to locate any fuse like the one that Dutton showed him. Source: Dept of Justice
A hand grenade? WTF?

Lesson #1: Don't do crazy stuff!

Lesson #2: Be careful what you say! Be careful who you say it to?

Lesson #3: Hand grenades and claymore mines! WTF?!

Let's see. Youtuber Dsarti appeared on the show and was later declared mentally deficient. Subsequently, he lost his legal right to carry a firearm. Another prepper shot his thumb off on the show. Dsarti got into trouble by joking with a doctor about death and Dutton gave too much info to a guy he should have been suspicious of.

Maybe Dsarti was unfairly targeted and accidents do happen, but we have to ask ourselves if this show is the best thing for the community. I'm sure that there are some intelligent preppers on the show, but it's the negativity that most people will remember. And I suspect that the producers will use more credible preppers early and move on to the crazier ones as the show progressives. I hope I'm proven wrong, but at this point I think this show is clearly making the prepping community look bad. Does anyone else see it any other way?

Miami Zombie! Detroit Kool Aid Killing! Are People Losing It?

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Just how volatile are some people? There was a shooting in Detroit --- over Kool Aid. Yes, you read that correctly. An argument broke out over Kool Aid and two people were wounded with gunshots. Detroit Police confirmed that the fight started over two guys started out arguing over what makes the best Kool Aid.

The two idiots pulled out their guns fired at each other, missed and hit two innocent bystanders. You can't make this stuff up!

In Miami, a young man was so high on synthetic drugs that he run through the streets naked and attacked a homeless man. But he didn't just attack the homeless man. he ate his face off. Literally, the drugged out zombie ate the man's ears, nose, cheeks, forehead skin and almost everything else down to the bone. This happened recently.

In 2009, a Texas woman was arrested after eating your own baby. This woman consumed her infant's brain.

Police: Woman killed her infant, ate part of brain

Now, although these incidents are rare, they should serve as a reminder of what human beings are truly capable of doing to one another. I was watching a video by youtuber Patriot Nurse and she made a number of good points. One which was that it made no sense for preppers to target shoot with their expensive guns if they didn't consistently carry a gun with them.

I'm no marksman, but I carry a full size 45 pistol everyday and I am more than proficient at 15 yards. If you can legally carry a firearm and you don't, it's time to consider a change.

I know that we have 46 million people on food stamps, millions unemployed and millions more leaving the workforce, but are the hard times getting to people? Are people losing it?

Is Facebook Bad For Society?

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

I was listening to former investor Ann Barnhardt on Warren Pollock's talk about how Facebook is being used to as a domestic spy network. She argued that Facebook is being used by the government as a self-reporting personal database. Essentially, people are sharing deeply personal information about themselves and therefore possibly making themselves political targets.

She draw a scenario where political dissents could be vanished by the government. She even compared Facebook to the Soviet spy program of yesteryear. Whether you think she's paranoid or not, there is a relationship between Facebook and the NSA. Both the CIA and NSA are using Facebook to gather data.

The Soviet Union didn't have a highly armed population. There's 300 million people in this country and there's even more guns than people. Logistically, it would have nearly impossible to implement a national wide kidnapping/assassination operation on every political dissent or critic. Maybe the strategy would be to vanish some and the others will remain quiet.

The problem is that when you're dealing with a culture that is desensitized to violent, people may not hesitate to fight back. After all, do you really think people are going to just let strangers grab family and friends when they have the means to fight back? You start that sh!t in this country and the people will come after your ass. They wouldn't care who you are.

I just visited family in Detroit and I can tell you that if some idiot decides to become the neighborhood spy, he or she will have a very short career. The police are afraid to go into certain neighborhoods. Nationwide, there's probably 500,000 law enforcement officers, no more than 3.5 million active duty personnel in the military and somehow they're going to have a martial law/Soviet Union crackdown in America.

What about the millions of veterans in the country? The millions of gun owners? If only a very small percentage resist this, the campaign would likely fail, since it would require a great deal of logistics. And it would be highly unlikely to all of the police and military would want to participate in this. I think it's easy to overlook the normal cops and focus on the assholes who step out of line. But the fact of the matter is that most cops aren't psychos who want to live in Soviet America.

In my opinion, Facebook is just a hub to sell customer information to corporations.

I don't doubt that the NSA collects data from Facebook and I understand why many people don't want to offer their personal data, but I don't think Facebook is going to lead the way to Soviet America. However, I am concerned that America will gradually transform into a fascist state over time. If that happens, it wouldn't be the doing of Facebook, it will be our fault. It will be our failure to stand up for our freedoms.

But Barnhardt hit on something very important about Facebook. She mentioned how 1/3 of divorce filings have some mentioning of Facebook. She derailed the morality bankruptcy on the Facebook culture. So I will ask you this: Is Facebook Bad For Society?

Criminals Will Rob Anybody at Anytime

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Are you a retired police officer? Maybe you were a police chief? Well, who gives a damn! At least, that's the story in Detroit. Former Detroit Police Department Chief Stanley Knox was robbed at gunpoint while he mowing his lawn. I live 60 miles north in an equally depressed city called Flint, Michigan. Both Flint and Detroit are among the most violent cities in the country. And just so you know, I have a CPL (concealed pistol license) in the state of Michigan and I always carry (whenever legally possible. And yes, I carry while I mow my lawn.

What amazed me about this story is that Knox was unarmed and wearing a gold necklace. Now, I'm not saying that he deserved to get robbed, but he should have been smarter than that. I'm poor and never wear jewelry, but even I'm packing.  This should be a warning for us all, watch your 6 O' clock. Criminals can strike at any time. it's getting so bad that i don't even want to shot my basketball with my .45 ACP. Have you ever tried doing a layup with a 45?

In Fresno, a man was arrested for turning a super soaker toy into a shotgun.I guess we have to be on the lookout for almost anything.

Not All Black Women Are Buying Into The Anti-GUN BS

I can't believe my eyes. Women. hell, black women on TV talking about using guns to defend themselves. Too often, when I hear a black woman talking about guns, it's about how she doesn't like them. But these women showed up for Ladies Night at a Detroit gun range and spoke the truth.

"if they're going to be the target of an attack, they want to make sure that they have a good aim," reporter explained.

Fox2 featured interviews with the ladies during a "Legally Armed In Detroit" (L.A.I.D.) sponsored FREE Ladies Shooting Day.

The segment also featured National Rifle Association credentialed Firearms Trainer Rick Ector and a whole lot of common sense. It's good to see some black women arming themselves, because I'm so used to hearing stupid anti-gun talking points from my people. This made my day.

Think Home Security BEFORE SHTF

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

I did a video on installing a barricade to re-inforce my back doors. Since many home invasions begin with the front and back doors becoming kicked in, acquiring the tools to reinforce your doors would provide added security during SHTF (Sh!t Hits The Fan). Simply put, you would use high quality screws to hold a Zinc door stop (bracket) on each side of your door. And drop a 2x4 wood board into the brackets. Use a power drill to drill small starter holes into the studs so you don't damage the wood frame of the door (like I did).

Someone on Youtube commented that I should move. If that's what you think, you people don't get it. I would make sure I had this capability in any neighborhood. You think because you're middle class and you can afford to be in a so called "safe" neighborhood that you will be immune to a national SHTF emergency, well you're wrong. Dead wrong.

If there is a world wide financial collapse and the U.S. credit system freezes to the point where businesses must lay off millions, then basic systems could break down. If there are riots in major U.S. cities, the transportation system will break down. if truckers can deliver food and other goods, supplies will run very low. This is when many regular people will get desperate. Imagine what people will do to feed their children. This is why storing food and water (water filter included) is so important.

There are people like this in every city, town and neighborhood. If you have guns, but no food and water, you will become apart of the problem. If you have food and water, but no weapons, you may become a victim. If you have food, water and guns, but you don't know how to operate (and clean) your gun, you may become a victim. I'm not expert by any stretch of the imagination, but I do posses good sense. I still have a lot of weak points in my home, but I'm working on them. Now is the time to start thinking about home security.

Is Facebook' Really Worth That Much Money?

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

There's been a lot of talk about Facebook going public and hitting the stock market.

The world's most popular social networking company sold 421.2 million shares at $38 a piece. The total worth of Facebook is about $104 billion, more than Amazon.com, McDonalds and Hewlett-Packard and Cisco.

But all of the companies listed above seem more valuable to me. After all, Cisco, HP and McDonalds actually produces a product that you can hold in your hands. Or at the very lest, offers a service that allows them to sell a physical product. What does Facebook actually make or sell? Nothing, really. Well, to be fair, Facebook does have an asset: the users. Facebook makes money by selling ads on a site that almost everyone under 45 uses. Okay, I'm exaggerating.

But Facebook has 500 million monthly average users.

Ads represented 82% of revenue in the first quarter of 2012. The problem is that this makes Facebook very vulnerable to changes in the economy. If there is a credit freeze or a slow down, advertising budgets will shrink and Facebook's revenue will collapse.

Another issue is the Facebook ads themselves. I almost never click on them or even notice them.  I'm not an expert in stocks, but I imagine that this company is going to have to figure out new ways to generate income. I don't think their ad program is worth all of this cash, but obviously many companies disagree.  I wonder if this is actually transferring into actually sales and how much.

Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Facebook, but I'm curious as to how a company that doesn't actually make anything can be worth this much money.

They make develop their gaming program. maybe Facebook could become a hub for cheap online gaming. But I doubt anyone could honestly say that this price is justified at this point.

What do you think? Is Facebook the next Microsoft or the Dot Com Bubble 2.0?

Europe is a Dead Man Walking

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

It's May 18th, 2012. In the last week, Moody's downgraded 16 Spanish bank. The top bank (Santander) and the number two bank (BBVA) dropped by three notches. This is happening in a country with a 24.4% unemployment rate. This 47 million person country has 5.64 million unemployment workers.

Now Greece is facing a new round of elections and there's serious talk of Greece leaving the European Union. Remember, I've been expecting at least two or more countries to exit the union this year. Frankly, I'm surprised it's lasted this long.

Don't expect things to get better any time soon. Germany's finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble was very frank with France's Europe 1 radio.

"Regarding the crisis of confidence in the euro ... in 12 to 24 months we will see a calming of the financial markets," he warned.

Zerohedge is reporting that Portugal and Ireland are back in the credit red zone. If the banks can't cover loan loses, business activity will froze and the entire economies would suffer.

The reason why I'm concerned about Europe is because their finances are intertwined with America's credit system. Essentially, if people lose confidence in the system, it's weaknesses with no longer be ignored. Ultimately, I don't see this system surviving for much longer. Not on either side of the pond.

Evidence Shows Zimmerman Was Injury

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)
It turns out that Zimmerman did have some wounds. And there was a fight (as I suspected). Zimmerman clearly lost the fight according to a witness. But Zimmerman still has the same big problem he had at the beginning. He initiated the conflict. Zimmerman followed a teen who didn't commit a crime in his car at night. Then followed the teen after he was told to stop. Then created a conflict which left the unarmed teen dead. Nobody had to die. This should have been avoided and Zimmerman acted irresponsibly.

Whether you think Zimmerman acted in self defense or is guilty of murder or manslaughter, it is clear that Zimmerman's actions were at least unwise. And if you carry a firearm, you shouldn't be seeking people out for a conflict. You shouldn't be calling 911 when there isn't an emergency or a crime committed.

Maybe Zimmerman stalked the teen and Trayvon freaked out because there was some creepy guy following him and Zimmerman had to shot him in self-defense. Even if that is the case, Zimmerman acted foolishly by stalking the teen. Or maybe Zimmerman said something to the kid and that set him off.

I don't have a problem with Zimmerman using a gun to stop someone from beating him to death. I have a problem with him stalking a teen that didn't commit a crime and continuing to follow him even after he was told by 911 to stop. The 911 tape is evidence of Zimmerman's bad judgment and if you can't see that, you shouldn't be carrying a gun. Gun owners must be smarter than that. Using good judgment can help you avoid a George Zimmerman/Trayvon Martin case. Using good judgment can help prevent anti-gun lunatics from using cases like this against all gun owners.

Question: If Zimmerman followed the kid, started a fight, and lost it, did he have the right to use deadly force?

How To Stop Unneccesary Wars

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

I ran into an interesting article on zerohedge about preventing unnecessary wars. One simple rule.
"If you start a war, you have to fight. If you cannot fight, then your nearest fit relative has to fight."

Simply put, if this rule was into affect when President George W. Bush spent our soldiers into Iraq, his daughters Jenna and Barbara would have been on the front lines. From a practical standpoint, this rule wouldn't make much sense. The globalist would simply select a President who was too old to fight and didn't have any children. Frankly, the requirements for president are very low. You don't need any business experience, so it's highly likely that if you're the elected candidate, you will have no idea how the economy works. You don't need any military experience, so it's likely that you will not know much about the military.

Frankly, you don't need any real experience or accomplishments to be President of the United Sates, which is why our so called leaders tend to have no real experience and no real accomplishments. Of course, you don't need to be a business person to understand the economy, or be a soldier to understand how a military works, but this experience would definitely help.

As a matter of fact, Congress has failed to balance the budget for years, so it's clear that the requirements for their positions is fairly low as well.

So this proposed rule would not prevent any unnecessary wars. To do so, we the people would have to take control of who gets into the White House to begin with. Here's a clue on how to do that.

1. Stop Supporting Republicans and Democrats
Avoid voting for anyone who has any connection to these disgraceful entities. Very libertarian, vote Green, vote someone who is pro-liberty, pro-justice and supports a stable economic structure.

2. Be Warily of People With No Accomplishments
If I ask you what has this guy/gal done, you should be able to produce three major accomplishments.
i.e. ex-Army medic (honorable discharge after 5 years) with 10 years as a homicide detective in Miami (65% clearance) and 10 years of running a gadget store. Find someone who has done more than just go to law school to learn how to screw us over.

3. Avoid Harvard-Yale-Princeton Lawyers Who Have Never Been in a Real Fight
Barack Obama, George W. Bush, Mitt Romney

But tell me what you think about the "Stop Unnecessary Wars" rule?

Wednesday, May 2, 2012

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

The Dow Jones is over 13,000 and the talking heads on television are declaring the U.S. economy to in a recovery. But over 46 million Americans are still depending on food stamps, the weekly jobless claims are starting to decline and unemployment is still stubbornly high despite the Labor Department's attempts to official push millions of unemployed into the non-labor force category. And recently, the factory orders fell off of a cliff in March.

The GDP numbers were obviously a big disappointment. The first quarter of 2012 had an unusally warm season, which made individuals and companies buy specialty items much earlier than usual. This should have really boasted the numbers, but all the labor department could come up with is an anemic 2.2%. Which means there's going to be significantly less growth in the second quarter. Essentially, the purchases that are usually made in the second quarter have already been made for the first.

Factory orders Dropped 1.5% in March
46 Million Americans on Food Stamps
GDP Growth

So it's refreshing to see a clip of someone on CNBC telling it like it is. Boston Properties CEO Mort Zuckerman pulled no punches with his analysis.

"We have the most stimulative fiscal and monetary policy in the history of this country and here we are three years into the recession and it's not ended. I think we may be heading for an even weaker economy this year than people expect."

He was right about the European economy, too. I especially enjoyed his analogy about the man who jumped out of a 25 story build and yelled, "Nothing's happened yet!"

Right now, I'm focusing on creating secondary income. I want to be as versatile as possible, because I think things are going to get very interesting this year. Don't be surprised when the economy gets worse.

What Women Should Do During SHTF

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

How would an average single woman fare in the event of a society breakdown? Let's say that there was a situation that caused a major panic, bank runs, riots, chaos in grocery stores, a massive influx in home invasions and much worse. How would a single woman protect herself in such a scenario? I've always wondered how a female could ever be anti-gun, especially when most women are physically smaller and weaker than 50% of the population. Given the fact that most violent predators are men, if attacked, the average woman would most certainly be facing an opponent with superior strength and weight.

So listening to a woman rant against guns has never made any sense to me. But I want to address the women who are sensible enough to protect them. Rather you are a man or a woman, you can be attacked at almost anything. Being a 300 pound, 6'2" man doesn't make me immune to attack. Anyone can be attacked, so we must try to be prepared at all times, so when a crisis happens, we'll be better suited to adapt to the changing circumstances. Here are the principles I try to practice.

1. Situational Awareness
This means being aware of our surroundings at all times. Something that I have failed to do at times. Too often, strangers on bikes have been able to surprise me while I was walking down the street, enjoying tunes on my mp3 player. But living in a dangerous city like Flint, Michigan means that I could only be seconds away from an attack at all times. I have to keep reminding myself to not let the music distract me. In a society breakdown, predators will take advantage of the chaos by targeting vulnerable women (an men). I would recommend that if there are riots in your town, stay off the streets. Rushing to Walmart to buy more food may not be worth the risk of leaving your home unattended. This is why we prep, so we don't have to be in the panicky mob fighting for food.

2. Following My Instincts
Have you ever had a bad feeling about something or a strange place? Well, that's your animal instinct warning. it's the same instinct that allows a deer to sense danger. I used to watch nature shows with my mother when I was a kid and I remember the lions targeting the dumbass prey that was separated from his pack. There's a lesson to learn. Under normal conditions, I walk by myself a lot. During a society breakdown, I would avoid such practice. It would be unwise for a woman (or a man) to travel alone. Remember, the overwhelming majority of women don't carry a gun, so targeting a lone woman during a crisis would be ideal for a predator.

3. Act Quickly! Don't Depend On Some Guy!
How fast you react could be the difference between living and dying. If I were a woman, I would assume that no man would be coming for my rescue. it sounds silly, but a lot of women (and men) think that some government agency or a man will come through in a crisis. Ladies, you are responsible for your own lives. Too many women have been programmed to expect men (and government) to do certain things for them. I asked my sister on several occasions if she wanted to go to the gun range and learn how to shot. I remind her respond at Hurley Medical Center. "No, but I'm a girl. That's for you guys." Ladies, this type of foolishness could cost you dearly.

4. Lock and Load
I highly recommend you consider taking a CCW (concealed carry weapon) permit class and carrying a pistol. If not a pistol, pepper spray, a knife or a stun gun. But you better be ready to use them. And keep in mind that all of these tools require training. I should also add that pepper spray may not stop the assailant as fast as you want. A 12 Gauge pump action shotgun will go a long way in discouraging a rapist. And please, please, don't put labels/signs on your car and home that single you out.

5. Don't Get Singled Out

Do you really need big brushes in front and around you home? it could give a burglar excellent cover when attempting to break into your home? And how much privacy do you really want? A privacy fence keeps noisy neighbors from watching you, but it also provides cover for the burglars.

In the video below, two men try to enter a woman's house by kicking down the door. Fortunately, it was a well made door and she also had a gun for protection. But I suspend that her privacy fence was one of the things that attracted the criminals in the first place.

6. A Dog is A Woman's Best Friend
Nothing will discourage a burglar as fast as a German Shepard or a Rottweiler. You don't need a pit bull to scare a rapist away from your home. A Golden Retriever will bite the hell out of a creeper. Dogs have been used by humans for warning and protection from predators for years. A dog can save during normal conditions and also during the worst. Bottom line, a woman should be prepared for dealing with threats in a scenario where emergency 911 operators aren't able to send the police. I am not a security expert, but my common sense dictates that you should watch the nature/wildlife documentaries and avoid doing what the lamb does. You know, the one that ends up as the lion's dinner.

Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney

Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney
By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Barack Obama. A man that brought false hope, empty promises and more corporate sponsors that a NASCAR driver. A man who said what people wanted to hear, but failed to accomplish anything. A man who protected Bush torturers, lied about closing Gitmo Bay and escalated the war in Afghanistan Yeah, that Barack Obama. The same Obama who joined Bush and McCain and Romney in supporting TARP, so Wall Street criminals could steal from taxpayers. Yeah, this is the guy who received a Noble peace prize for spending tens of thousands of soldiers into Afghanistan. Then solidified the irony by ignoring the constitution and illegally bombed Libya. But that wasn’t enough.

President Barack Obama, Mr. Hope and Change, spent unmanned aircraft to bomb Yemen and Pakistan. I guess if you kill small children it’s okay if you declare them collateral damage. And I guess if the President expands trillion dollar deficits, it’s okay, because the last guy (Bush) was also irresponsible. Barack Obama, the man who signed the national Defense Authorization Act which turns America into a battlefield.

A free society that now encourages the military to indefinitely detain people, even U.S. citizens, without a charge or a trial. But wait, Obama promises not to do that. Just like he promised to shut down Gitmo Bay. The constitutional professor who sign the renewal of the Patriot Act. The same law supported but Bush and McCain and Romney.

Yeah, the Mitt Romney who promised to protect gun rights, after which he promised to take them away. Yeah, that Mitt Romney. The so called “pro-life” Republican who claims to be “severely conservative.”
Even though used to be pro-choice and his policies are just as fiscally irresponsible as Obama‘s. Mitt Romney. A man who bleeds deception through his pores and that changes positions more than porn star in San Fernando Valley. Mitt Romney, a man who stands for absolutely nothing except when it’s politically convenient for him. This man, like Bush and Obama and McCain, is also a neo-con warmonger who is desperate to bomb Iran. But it’s a threat. Yes, Israel has hundreds of nuclear weapons, America has thousands, but Iran is going to threaten us with just one. Sure, that makes sense. Just like Mitt Romney’s economic plan to put this country further into debt.

Barack Obama vs. Mitt Romney

A choice between two pathological liars who don’t give a damn about any of us. They don’t serve me or you. They are all bought and paid for like most of the other Democrats and Republicans. They talk a different game, but when it counts, they support the illegal wars, unconstitutional bailouts, attacks on civil liberties and they take the bribes (oh, I’m sorry, campaign contributions)

When are you people going to get it? There is no choice. The elite corporatist criminals who run this country use primaries to weed out anyone who will challenge them. And they use the General election like a reality TV show to keep the masses distracted and entertained. They figure if you are invested in this illusion called an election, that you’ll be more likely to tolerate a system that is fundamentally corrupted.

They keep you entertained and divided. Republican vs. Democrat. Never mind the fact that the Democrats won elections in 2006 on an anti-war platform and then gave Bush his money for the war in Iraq. Never mind the fact that the once Republican President, George W. Bush lied about weapons of mass destruction and Democrats went along. It’s a scam. It’s a rigged game. Bet on red. Bet on blue. It doesn’t matter, because the house always wins.

I’m not going to tell you who to vote for, but I’m not going to let you say you’re voting for the lesser of two evils, because that is wrong and to do so would be a gross declaration of moral bankruptcy.

This November, there will be more than two names on that ballot. But if you’re voting for Mitt Romney or Obama, you will be voting for the same thing.

Gathering Information Before the SHTF!

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

One of the most important things you can do is collect information and resources before an emergency situation. Suppose there was a severe crisis in which basic utilities failed. No matter where you are located, you would need to be able to locate important sites around you. Identify the location of every hospital, drug store, military surplus store, Walmart, sports good store, lake, creek, and military base in your area. I found a website that allows you to find a lot of these things ahead of time. It's simple, you type in your zip code and the site gives you a map of all of the hospitals, drug stores, military stores in your area.

It's called Map of the Dead

I highly recommend it. Simply print out your map and you can use this during a crisis.

A friend of mine mentioned drug stores during a SHTF (shit hits the fan) situation, stating that there will be a lot of drugs that people will not be able to identify. What was my response? I went online and found a list of antibiotics. Now, I have a hard copy of various antibiotics so I can identify them during an emergency.it may also be a great idea to collect manuals and books of home repair.

I may not have all of the knowledge to survive a shtf situation, but at least I'll have the books.

NEW Witness! Was Trayvon Martin A Hoodlum?

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

A recent news story shows that the police report claimed that Trayvon Martin attacked Zimmerman. If this is true, then it would definitely help Zimmerman.

Witness: Martin attacked Zimmerman

Here's a part of the story.

The witness reported: "The guy on the bottom who had a red sweater on was yelling to me: 'help, help…and I told him to stop and I was calling 911," he said. Trayvon Martin was in a hoodie; Zimmerman was in red. The witness only wanted to be identified as "John," and didn't not want to be shown on camera. His statements to police were instrumental, because police backed up Zimmerman's claims, saying those screams on the 911 call are those of Zimmerman.

But it seems odd to me. How did this small 17 year old get on top of a 28 year Zimmerman. It's clear by the photos that Zimmerman is a lot bigger. Now, let's be fair. Trayvon was 6'2". He was tall. he wasn't small. But he was only 140 pounds. Zimmerman was a lot bigger. And Zimmerman had the gun, so how would such a small kid get the upper hand? And why is this witness refusing to go on camera when other witness refuting the police report are all over the news? Police claim the witness wanted to be anonymous and only referred to as "John." Why didn't the police release these details earlier?

It makes no sense. Zimmerman was following this kid in a car. No crime was committed. He called 911, admitted to be following the kid. He was told not to follow the kid. Zimmerman did it anyway. At some point, Zimmerman exits his car. The Police claim the kid attacked Zimmerman as he was headed back to the car.

The problem with the story is that Zimmerman followed this kid and there wasn't a crime to justify it. Zimmerman was still the aggressor. And I have some serious doubts about Zimmerman's story. He had no business stalking the Trayvon. Maybe Trayvon had a fight or flight moment? maybe he was scared of the strange guy following him.

Regardless of what you think about this case. If you are carrying a gun, don't escalated the situation. If you see "suspicious behavior", call the police. Don't call 911 simply because someone fits a profile. Call the police when there is a crime or a real threat. And please don't follow someone, that's a great way to scare someone.

What do you think about the case now? Share your thoughts on the witness.

If the witness is correct, I retract my recommendation that Zimmerman should be charged with second degree murder. But that's a big IF. We still have Trayvon's girlfriend who was on the phone with him doing the altercation and it appears that Zimmerman stalked Trayvon. Another issue, is that the pro-Zimmerman witness is invisible. if he or she speaks in public, the account will be more credible. At this point, I don't even know if this person really exist.

Trayvon's girlfriend recently spoke about the phone call she had with Trayvon during his last moments. She actually captured an audio recording of the whole incident. She claimed Trayvon said "I think this dude is following me," moments before he was killed.

Here's her account of what happened.

The girl he was talking to says she could hear him when the teen asked a stranger: "Why are you following me?"

First she heard, "What are you doing here?" and then a push and an altercation just before the line went dead, the attorney for the dead teen's family said. "I called him again and he didn't answer the phone," the girl said.

But she maybe wrong or lying. She wanted his identity to be protected as well. And I can't say I blame any of the witnesses. What do you think?

Trayvon Martin, victim of fatal shooting, told girlfriend, "I think this dude is following me," attorney says
