Commodities UP! Dollar DOWN!

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

On June 1st, 2010, the price of corn stood at 354. One year later, the price has more than doubled to 758.50 (5/27/2011). The proof is in the chart above. As the Ticker guy pointed out in his latest video. Qualitative easing has been a total bust. Sure, the stock market has risen by 20% since the implementation of QE2, but it's value has remained the same. And worse still, the cost of living has dramatically soared, while unemployment remains extremely high.

Sugar has moved from a price of 14.40 to 22.69. Fortunately, it has dropped in recent months, but the overall picture remains the same. The price of food is rising. Wheat has increased from 457 to 819.75. Simply put, we are being screwed. The Federal Reserve is propping up this zombie economy by devaluing the dollar. The government doesn't have the money to fund its wars, so it is borrowing money from the fed. And since central banks across the world are losing interest in buying U.S. bonds, the fed is buying it's own debt. The snake is eating its tail. But as you can imagine, it can only do such a thing for so long. I don't know when it will end, but it most certainly will.

RON PAUL: "Fate of the American Republic is Now Sealed”

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

Congressman Ron Paul's May 25, 2011 on the floor of the House struck me as odd. Here was a 75 year old man who has dedicated decades of his life to upholding the U.S. Constitution and protecting American civil liberties facing the music. He spoke passionately about the federal government's continued assaulted on civil liberties, but it was to no avail. No one was listening and no one cared. After all, most of the House and Senate has been paid off long before they even stepped foot in the chambers. Ron Paul has been constantly demanding Congress to challenge the Federal Reserve and asking why none the Wall Street criminals have been held responsible for the financial collapse of 2008.

"The last nail is being driven into the coffin of the American Republic. Yet, Congress remains in total denial as our liberties are rapidly fading before our eyes. The process is propelled by unwarranted fear and ignorance as to the true meaning of liberty. It is driven by economic myths, fallacies and irrational good intentions. The rule of law is constantly rejected and authoritarian answers are offered as panaceas for all our problems. Runaway welfarism is used to benefit the rich at the expense of the middle class."

The truth of the matter is that Ron Paul maybe finally realizing what I've thought for over a year: The republic is lost. The renewal of the Patriot Act guarantees that federal agencies can form a domestic spy network in America that will track and control everything that we do. The U.S. Supreme Court's recent declaration that law enforcement can enter a home without a warrant as long as they think evidence is being destroyed, is a clear violation of the Fourth amendment. The TSA's Nazi Germany-style security tactics assures that Americans will be bullied by the very government that professes to protect them. The fact of the matter is the America is toast: politically, socially, morally and economically.

The economy has been reduced to a serfdom (I mean, "service") system where Americans don't make anything, but he stand around and sell each other cheap crap that's made in third world countries. It's an economy with a withering manufacturing base, shrinking middle class, a ponzi currency system, a collapsing housing market, rampant corruption in finance, absolute insolvency in banking and an overwhelming amount of debt that is impossible to pay off. The economy is unsustainable and it is collapsing. It's an economy with a widening gap between the rich and the poor. The type of economy where college graduates are standing in retail stores making 9 bucks per hour saying "How may I help?" Who in the hell is going to raise a family on 9 dollars an hour after accumulating tens of thousands of dollars in student loan debt?

While McDonald's is hiring, real jobs are disappearing. Local and state governments have laid off 300,000 employees in 2011 and are projected to layoff at least 450,000 employees next year.

And NO! The housing market is not coming back. Who the hell is going to be buying a house when they can't even land a decent job?!

David Blitzer, chairman of the Case-Shiller index committee at S&P said the following,

“There is very little, if any, good news about housing...The 20-city composite is within a hair’s breadth of a double-dip.”

NEWS FLASH!
It's over! QE2 (money printing) is coming to an end. If they continue with QE3, it'll be the final nail in the coffin for the dollar. QE2 devalued the dollar to the point where energy and food prices soared. If they don't continue quantitative easing, then the economy collapses. Either way, the economy is toast. So let me say to Dr. Ron Paul that his efforts are to be commended, but his services are no longer needed. He should enjoy the time that he has left with his family and leave the fools to their own devices. The most of the American people will not wake up. They will continue to follow their leaders over the cliff. And for anyone who would like to debate me on this point, I will leave you with a youtube video. This video doesn't have much commentary, but it is very insightful.

It's entitled, "This is Why."

And it explains why America is finished. While the Federal Reserve robs us blind, this is what most Americans care about. Watch and enjoy.

Obama Working on Gun Control 'Under the Radar'!

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

It looks like all of those so called paranoid nuts who bought guns after the election of Barack Obama was right after all. In 2009, I remember telling a bus driver that I bought my first gun because I was worried that if I didn't do it soon, I would lose my rights forever. Now, I highlight doubt that pump action shotguns will be banned anytime soon, but it just goes to show you how distrustful people were of Obama. And now we have confirmation that Obama will attempt to push gun control through some time in the future.

Hot Air highlighted a Washington Post piece that discussed Sarah Brady's meeting with met with White House press secretary Jay Carney. Apparently, the President dropped in on the meeting and

"brought up the issue of gun control, “to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda,” she said."

“I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Brady recalled the president telling them. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

Sarah Brady is the wife of Reagan assassination victim Jim Brady and a big advocate of gun control. According to Sarah, Obama is interested in record keeping.

"In the meeting, she said, Obama discussed how records get into the system and what can be done about firearms retailers."

So if Sarah is correct, we can expect Obama to use executive order or some other method to limit certain firearms and ban large capacity magazines. Whether he is successful or not will depend on us. Frankly, Obama could have been lying his ass off when he told this lady that he was serious about gun control. Based on his political history, I'm sure he would love to ban certain guns, but his current political situation would make that almost impossible.

Obama DEFIES Israel (or is he?)

It's a miracle. President Obama has finally done something that is sensible...or so it seems. The President has endorsed a plan to reset the Israel/Palestine borders back to the 1967 configuration. Let me say that if Obama sticks to this stances that it will be the first intelligent move that he has made on foreign policy issues. The problem is that Obama has a long history is saying one thing and doing another. Remember his pledge to create the most transparent administration, ever. And who can forget his early 2009 pledge to shut down Guantanamo Bay detention camp.

Obama fails on promise to shut down Guantanamo

My greatest concern is that the Israeli lobbyist will pull pressure on Obama and he'll cave. Or maybe this is just a stint. maybe he has no intention of backing down. If there's a false flag terror attack, he can use it as cover to renege on his promise. Jewish donors are already turning up the heat.

Jewish Donors Warn Obama on Israel

Malcolm I. Hoenlein (the executive vice chairman of The Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations) summed it up,

"It's that people hold back, people don't have the enthusiasm and are not rushing forward at fund-raisers to be supportive...Much more what you'll see is holding back now."

Obama knows he needs the big money to get re-elected. So we'll see if Obama's actions match up with his words.

Do you think Obama will push forward with this plan?

CDC: Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

If you haven't, you better start preparing for an emergency of epic proportions. The next crisis could be a dollar crisis, power grid failure or even a zombie attack. No, I'm not kidding around. The Center For Disease Control (CDC) is providing information on a possible zombie attack. They even have a page on their website entitled "Preparedness 101: Zombie Apocalypse." Clearly, this is a gimmick to raise awareness about preparation, but it's obviously working. But even Fox News is covering this strange story. The CDC warns people to acquire the folloy list of goods.

"# Water (1 gallon per person per day)
# Food (stock up on non-perishable items that you eat regularly)
# Medications (this includes prescription and non-prescription meds)
# Tools and Supplies (utility knife, duct tape, battery powered radio, etc.)
# Sanitation and Hygiene (household bleach, soap, towels, etc.)
# Clothing and Bedding (a change of clothes for each family member and blankets)
# Important documents (copies of your driver’s license, passport, and birth certificate to name a few)
# First Aid supplies (although you’re a goner if a zombie bites you, you can use these supplies to treat basic cuts and lacerations that you might get during a tornado..."

Can someone explain to me why you would prepare for a zombie apocalypse without a gun? Frankly, a gun is the first thing I would get. An AK-47 would be effective, while allowing you to put some distance between you and the undead. My only concern about a shotgun would be allowing them to get too close to me and somehow getting their blood in an eye or a cut. You know rules about zombies.

Get food, water, medicine and tools. I've been saying this for years. Okay, only 2 and a half years, but still, I've been warning people through my videos on youtube. I must have uploaded over 8 bug out bag videos and dozens of videos on emergency preparedness. Recently, I joined Doc and James Wesley Rawles on the The Watchmen Radio Network (thewatchmen.fm) to discuss emergency preparation ideas. As usual, Rawles brought a plethora of important and I highly recommend you check it out. I also recommend you check out his blog (survivalblog.com).

I recently did a short video on how to get started with your preparations, the video is embedded at the top of this page.

Movie Review: Restrepo

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

"Restrepo" centers on the Men of Battle Company 2nd of the 503rd Infantry Regiment 173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team who are waging war in Eastern Afghanistan. One of the film's directors, War journalist Sebastian Junger, spent one year embedded with U.S. forces in the deadliest valley in Afghanistan. Along with the late photographer Tim Hetherington, Junger captures one of the most intense portraits of war I've ever seen. The film isn't propaganda. It isn't meant to be pro-war or anti-war. It simply allows us to view these young men live and fight in one of the most difficult terrains in the world. Politics takes a back seat to survival.

Junger and Hetherington show the extreme constrast in the two missions that Washington has assigned the soldiers. We watch a U.S. commander is leading an outreach meeting with local tribe leaders. One villager mentions the deaths of civilians. The frustrated American tries to focus the discussion on the future. The American forces attempt to win "hearts and minds" while battling over positions on hills and dropping bombs on houses that kill children. The American soldiers don't want to kill children, but when the enemy is hiding among children, there's no avoiding civilian causalities.

The death of Americans also defines the film. The unit named a newly built outpost after a lost friend, "Doc" Restrepo."

What amazed me the most about the documentary is the soldiers' honesty and willingness to be themselves. The scene where one soldier stares down at his fallen friend is devastating. The comedy of three soldiers dancing to trashy Euro pop is over-the-top funny. This film manages to capture the journey without beating us over the head with a blunt message, it presents the reality and lets the audience draw from it. After almost 50 U.S. soldiers lost their lives fighting in the valley, the U.S. decided to pull out of the region in 2010. This film is available on Netflix Instant and I highly recommend it.

Note: Photographer Tim Hetherington was recently killed while covering the war in Libya.

Bin Laden Hoax is a Distraction!

By Reginald Kaigler (DEMCAD)

As you know, the U.S. government and the corporate-owned mainstream media has been running full-throttle with their 'Neo-Cons Killed Osama' campaign for the last three days. Let's face the facts, this is nothing more than a distraction. I am 100% convinced that this was a staged event. Never mind the fact that various news organizations have reported that Bin Laden had been dead for years.

Many analysts believed he had already died of a kidney-related disease. The Pakistanis said Bin Laden was dead in 2002. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf claimed bin Laden had a kidney disease that restricted him to carrying a dialysis machine. Was Musharraf protecting Bin Laden or was has simply relaying facts? Then the FBI's top counter-terrorism official, Dale Watson, said that he believed that Osama Bin Laden was dead. Was he simply tricking his enemy or did the U.S. find the body and put it on ice for a time when it could benefit the most from it's claim of conquest?

So what's going on? I think it's obvious that the U.S. government wanted to buried the body fast so that no one could examine it. The U.S. forces said that wanted to honor Bin Laden's Islamic beliefs by cleaning his body and burying it at sea within 24 hours of death. So let me get this straight: Osama lead an operation that killed nearly 3,000 Americans, it took U.S. forces 10 years to kill him and now they want to respect his Islamic beliefs. According to Obama, Bin Laden wasn't a Islamic leader. Read it yourself:

"As we do, we must also reaffirm that the United States is not –- and never will be -– at war with Islam. I’ve made clear, just as President Bush did shortly after 9/11, that our war is not against Islam. Bin Laden was not a Muslim leader; he was a mass murderer of Muslims. Indeed, al Qaeda has slaughtered scores of Muslims in many countries, including our own."

So if he is not a Muslim leader and murderer of Muslims, why would you weight his beliefs over bringing the body to the U.S. for independent verification. Why didn't they allow the International media and foreign government s to conduct their own DNA tests?

The answer is obvious, the U.S. didn't want anyone to examine the body, because in all likelihood, Bin Laden has been dead for years. Independent sources may have discovered that the body had been frozen. Simply put: No body, No evidence. I think this stunt was a pathetic attempt by the administration to boast Obama's horrible approval ratings while justifying his reckless foreign policy. This story is important because it shows just how desperate the administration has become.

It's been less than a week and the government is changing it's story. At first, it claimed that Bin Laden had a gun and used a woman as a hostage, but now they've been forced to retrack the sensation story. This is clearly a staged event.

Nevertheless, this circus has also provided a good distraction from the collapse of the dollar, the continue rise in gas prices, the growing inflation in food and the worsening employment situation. Did you know that as of Feb 2011, we had 44,199,391 persons collecting food stamps? Did you know that the average benefit has remained at $133 to $134.60 for the last 15 months, while food prices has gone up?

The number of workers filing for jobless benefits for the first time increased by 25,000 to a total of 429,000. That's 429,000 new unemployed people filing for benefits and it doesn't even include all of the new people living for work. Even the Gross Domestic Product is suffering and GDP is often boasted by inflation and government spending. GDP only increased to 1.8 in the first quarter of 2011, after a 3.1% gain in the fourth quarter of 2010.

So this is where we are. We have a desperate administration that is releasing bogus info (i.e. Obama's birth certificate) and pretending as if killing Bin Laden justifies the hundreds of thousands of deaths that the U.S. created in the Middle East. Beware of a declining empire, for an empire is never more destructive than in its last days.
