John Williams Sees Hyperinflationary Coming!

John Williams (of Shadowstats.com) has reported a report stating that the likelihood of a inflationary depression has reached a critical level. What this means is that, if the government continues it's reckless monetary and fiscal policy, the dollar could collapse.

He believes that Bernanke's attempts to avoid deflation will create a hyper inflationary environment that will destroy the dollar. He's basically saying that this is unavoidable and the system could collapse at anytime.

He's recommending that people protect their wealth by putting their money in physical gold and silver. He also urges to stock up on basic necessities such as food, water and toilet paper. Williams believes that we should be preparing to survive on our own for three months.

Let's be clear. John believes that this situation is unavoidable.

  1. Thank God I won't be around during the great tribulation which explicitly predicted hyperinflation. Oh and that gold won't do you any good either, confiscation is also predicted in that verse. ;)

  3. I don't think much will happen in 2010. I think it will look pretty much like 2009. Just my thoughts.
